What is the sixth sense?
The sixth sense is like the other five senses, except, that it is an acute manifestation of all of the other five senses.  The sixth sense is a common term to describe a psychic gift. The sixth sense can also be associated with the term intuitive. Many psychics operate using the sixth sense in the following ways: clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience. The sixth sense encompasses all three of these inner level states of being. Our pets have an acute awareness to sound, smell and sight. This ability comes from the old part of the brain called the limbic system. Our pets utilize this old brain to receive information that is at a survival level.

As humans, we have developed refined thought processing functions in the front part of our brains, which is called the frontal lobe. The front lobe is called the new brain. Our animal friends have retained the old brain's sensory capacity to gain information that appears at higher frequencies. The ability to be psychic usually encompasses one or more of these states of being which express themselves through an individual who has not lost the capacity to move between the old and new brain. Psychics have the ability in one or more of these skills.

What are Clairvoyance, Clairaudience and Clairsentience?
A clairvoyant can have some of the following experiences: the ability to see visions, pictures, auras or the physical energy around people, which expresses itself in color and sometimes symbols.

Clairaudience is the ability to hear sounds at a higher frequency than is audible to the human ear. Someone who is clairaudient may hear music, voices or sounds that other people do not hear. This is not to be confused with forms of mental illness, which sometimes demonstrate themselves through visions and hearing voices. The difference between someone who is mentally ill and a person who is clairaudient is the ability to have balance and function in life. Mozart, Beethoven, Handel, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Edison, Ford and Patton all had the ability of clairvoyance and clairaudience.

Clairsentience is the ability to sense a feeling or non-physical matter such as energy around animate and inanimate objects. This also encompasses a highly developed sense of smell. There are reports of the smell of roses or orange blossoms during states of meditation while praying to Buddha or Saints of the Christian faith.

Many of the artists and individuals listed above had the capacity for all three of these senses. More recently, Mother Theresa, Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Ansel Adams had the capacity to feel energy around people and things. The writers such as Emerson, Thoreau and Whitman diligently attempted to put words to their experiences. Martin Luther King, Gandhi and Mother Theresa took this energy and turned it into their life works and vision for humanity. Everyone has the capacity to develop their sensitivity to energy, vibrations and inner visions, which can result in intuitive guidance for our lives.

Are all psychic people spiritual?
Not all people who utilize their sixth sense are spiritual. Because the sixth sense is basically a higher presentation of the other senses, it does not include the unfolding of spiritually. Most spiritual people are intuitive.

What is the difference between psychic and intuitive?
A psychic has access to the higher senses and received information based upon this ability to perceive those senses. We are electro magnetic energy in a physical body, a psychic is able to read that energy and apply words to the symbols and energy that they perceive.

Intuition is based in knowing without doubt. It is not from the sixth sense. It is from developing a bridge between the human and divine side of our natures. An intuitive receives information and interprets it without using the logical reasoning process. An intuitive can be sensitive to the higher senses but the information does not come from the higher senses. It comes from the bridge between mind, body and spirit.

What is the energy around our bodies called?
In the metaphysical world, the energy around us is called an aura. An aura represents itself to an intuitive or psychic as a combination of color, form or symbols. Our mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health affects our aura. Our aura may change minute-to-minute based upon emotion, thought and physical health.

All living things have an aura as well as non-living things. A chair has energy that is operating at a longer frequency than say a flower. The slower moving the energy the more solid the object appears. The more life force the higher the energy level, the less solid the object will appear. All things are creations. A chair is created by a person from other materials that come together to form a structure. So it is with a flower.

There is a divine design that brings elements together to create what we call a flower. The more alive anything seems to us the higher the energy level appears. The higher the level of vibration, the lighter the energy. When people leave the physical body, they are transcending to a higher plane of consciousness. They take the energy from the physical body with them.

Some psychics and intuitives can see these people. This is called mediumship. Not all psychics or intuitives have the capacity to see the “other” side. What a medium sees is the person operating at higher vibratory rate than they did when they were in a physical body. In a way, we can draw comparisons between the chair and the flower. The physical body is denser than the ethereal body, which leaves at death.

What is the third eye?
The third eye is centered in the pineal gland, which resides in the middle of the forehead. It is the place of vision and clairvoyance. It is a metaphysical concept that the third eye exists and is part of the Charka system. Besides metaphysical teachings about the third eye, it is also considered to be an important place in Hindu and Buddhist teaching. The third eye is the all Seeing Eye and views the inner and higher planes of consciousness. It is the sixth Charka and unfolds itself naturally as we spiritually develop.

What is a Charka?
Metaphysical philosophy teaches that there are seven Charkas. Charka is taken from Hindu and means wheels of light. They are disk shaped and are associated with the body's main glands and organs. Each Charka has an individual color that manifests through the wheel of light. Psychic and intuitive people view the Charkas through their third eye or sixth Charka. Charkas hold divine energy within the body. Energy moves through the Charkas and is affected by thought, emotion, balance and health of the physical and astral body. Intuitives and psychics can read this energy.

As we commit to spiritual unfolding, more time is spent in meditation or prayer. Through these processes, we become aware of the spiritual energy within us that moves through the Charkas. We begin to balance and integrate this divine energy within our lives through attention to our spiritual unfolding.

What happens during a reading?
An intuitive or psychic reader must have your permission to perform a reading. An ethical reader must tell you that the information that you receive is a probable reality if you continue on the same pathway. People, places and things in the future change based upon decisions and actions in the present. Therefore, a reader cannot absolutely predict the future. The reading is based upon an interpretation of the symbols and energy by the intuitive. There is always a choice to create the future in your own way.

An ethical psychic or intuitive will never make your decision for you. Decisions are left up to the individual. Never allow a psychic or intuitive reader to force you to give up your free will. Unethical psychics will ask for money for purposes other than the reading. You need to be aware that this may be a scam. The best solution to this issue is to terminate the reading without further payment. There are charlatans in every field and you must be informed of your rights prior to starting the reading.
